We are Florida-based artists who stand against the regressive and discriminatory laws, divisive politics and actions of the state’s extremist governor and his majority party of enablers.
Florida’s multi-faceted art community is diverse, inclusive, progressive, and rejects the harmful policies of the state.
Artists and art institutions throughout the state continue to speak truth to power through creative expression.

As artists we recognize the unique role we can play at this crucial time. We seek to create community, art, and joyful resistance in efforts to engage and inspire actions for positive change.
Florida Art Resistance seeks to highlight art created within the state that supports social justice, cultural diversity, inclusivity, Black history, LGBTQIA+ rights, and access to health care, climate change, environment, threats to free speech and expression, voting rights, Immigrant rights, women’s access to healthcare, abortion, bodily autonomy, fair housing, workers rights, endangered species and more.
